Thierry Baujard

Thierry Baujard

Thierry Baujard is the founder of the pan-European investment network Media Deals, which focuses on cross-border investments in the mediatech sector. He is also CEO of peacefulfish, a financing consultancy firm specialized in the creative industries.

Thierry has 20+ years of experience in the communications and entertainment industries. After graduating in Paris he worked in London as a business consultant for entertainment companies and telecom operators, then in France and Germany in business development for Vivendi, and then for ARTE - the Franco-German TV station - in Strasbourg. Thierry then completed an MBA at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and at UCLA in Los Angeles, where he specialized in film financing and e-commerce. In 2012, he graduated from the European Executive Programme of the Ecole National d'Administration (ENA) in France.

For Media Deals, Thierry is in charge of developing the investment network across Europe and managing the network's Investment Forums, which regularly bring mediatech companies and investors together for pitching sessions. With regard to this, he supports the network's investors in identifying investment opportunities and in carrying out due diligence with a focus on cross-border transactions and exit strategies.

He was also the project director of Media Deals' EU project ImMediaTe, which examined financial mechanisms for digital media between five European clusters (Barcelona, Rome, Malta, Paris, and Amsterdam) and is now the director of the new DG Connect project European Investor Gate (EIG). Thierry has also been developing different creative industries funds for the film, music, and video games sectors. He is a regular speaker at conferences and summits on content and technology as well as an expert for the European Commission on regulations for investment in the digital sector.

Juliane Schulze

Juliane Schulze

As Executive Advisor with more than 25 years of experience in the creative industries, Juliane Schulze, holds an extensive cross-industrial knowledge, specialising in financing and business consulting of technology driven entrepreneurs in the creative industries. As coach and mentor she supports SMEs in business planning and in getting ready for investment. As trainer and moderator she holds workshops on access to finance and entrepreneurship at investment and innovation forums, at business training events, as well as at leading business accelerators. She lectured at the Media Business School and teaches at various international audiovisual labs, markets and business summits.

She is a strategic advisor for European funding institutions and development agencies and is a veteran project director of several EU-projects focusing on accelerating creative and digital businesses through innovation programmes. She developed international media positioning strategies for countries and regions e.g. in Asia, across Europe and in the United Arab Emirates.

Juliane chairs EBN's Creative, Cultural & Digital Special Interest Group and wrote the Technical Note on Creative BICs. She is founder and director of the professional business network for Indian and European content businesses, eurinidiamedia. She is Director of the MEDIA supported investor training programmes ENTER Europe and Member of the Advisory Board of the EU-project InvestHorizon.

Perrine Hamon

Perrine Hamon

Perrine is the Project Director of Media Deals. Her position entails the coordination of the company's regular investment forums and coaching across different European countries; monitoring the identification of European start-ups and matchmaking with suitable investors. Perrine is also involved in the coordination of European projects and applications concerning investment funds and policy instruments in creative and digital sectors. She has been responsible of several research and policy studies to support the development of regional clusters and financial incentives dedicated to the creative industries. Perrine is extensively knowledgeable about financial tools for creative and digital SMEs as well as international projects management. After attaining a Masters degree in Law, Perrine pursued a specialization in European politics and technology-innovation support policies with a strong focus on European projects management. She then gathered professional experience as a European project manager at the Economic and Innovation Department of the City of Grenoble in France. After that, she offered freelancing consultancy to the VDI/VDE-IT agency in Berlin on issues related to the internationalization of technology clusters.

At Media Deals, Perrine is currently involved in the European project Women Web Entrepreneurs Hubs (WeHubs) as well as other European and international networks specialized in fostering investment in digital and creative industries.

Alessandra Meloni

Alessandra Meloni

Alessandra is specialised in Cultural Management and Creative Innovation Strategy. She works as Researcher & Consultant at Media Deals, Berlin and peacefulfish – consultancy for the creative industries where she is in charge of researching and carrying out impact assessment studies for public bodies and private institutions.


Italian born, Alessandra has gained additional experience on creativity enhancement methods of innovation both in Italy and England and has been trained as design thinking expert & facilitator at Brennerei Next Generation Lab, the think-tank for innovation based in Bremen.
Aside from her full time occupation, Alessandra has been active as independent scholar & researcher in the field of Cultural Science & Art & Design Theory. Some of her most recent interventions include the performance lecture “Copycats: reproduce (your)self!” At the Neoliberation conference at Goldsmiths College, London in June 2015 and the curation of the exhibition and publication ReWork: open Architecture for Zumtobel, Germany, in partnership with oneonecommunication, Amsterdam.


Alessandra holds a BA in Literature and Philosophy with Honors from University of Milan and an MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths College, University of London.

Athina Markopoulou

Athina Markopoulou

Athina is a Project Manager with experience in European Projects specializing in the access to finance of creative and ICT startups.

She is based in Athens, Greece. She is in charge of developing partnerships with public, financing and academic institutions in Greece and the Mediterranean area. In particular, she is looking at building some bridges with financiers based in southern Europe.

Alexander Berlin

Alexander Berlin

As project consultant, Alexander is specialised in ICT-/Technology- and Gaming Projects and is currently working on the Pilot Project @Diversity - looking at ICT-supported diversity in the Creative Industry, the ENTER training for investors in the creative economy in the UK and Europe and the Barcelona Activa initiative, consulting technology startups. Further Alexander is in charge of Media Deals' IT infrastructure, web applications and databases. Previously, he co-founded the Life Action Games GmbH, with an expertise in Augmented-Reality- and Serious games. Alexander has won several awards for his IT-/and start-up ideas. He studied Controlling and Finances at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht (HWR), Berlin and International Business in Cambridge and has additional qualifications in Web Development and Design.

Christelle Wolff

Christelle Wolff

Christelle works as a Project- and Administration Consultant at Media Deals, where she is in charge of project- and business administration, as well as environmental strategy for culture and creative industry. Christelle brings her experience in working as HR consultant and environmental advisor for ISO standards at Valeo and at the Regional Ministry for Agriculture and Forest in Strasbourg, France to the team. Christelle has a law background (University of Lyon, Leicester and Bonn) and holds an MA in Environmental law and environmental problems from the University in Strasbourg.

Lisei Galpin

Lisei Galpin

Lisei works on project as well as business administration for Media Deals. She has studied literature and pedagogy in Düsseldorf, Lyon, and Berlin and holds an MA in German and French Literature from the University of Berlin.
